A speck of light in the midnight sky
sparkling, twinkling up on high
guiding a stranger passing by
to a place seemed nowhere in sight
a tiny speck of light it is
but sailors trust their way on this
a sparkle in the midst of confusion
reflecting hope in a sea of oblivion
tiny though this light maybe
a Master’s hand created thee
carefully scattered up in the sky
lighting up the dark blue night
a twinkle, a sparkle, a dazzle, a glaze
of different colors and hues I gaze
inspires a poet to write, no haste
to capture its beauty and to amaze.
